Entertainment is an integral part of festivity. Adding to the festive fervor is a slew of new releases one by one. No need to mention the names. The principal characters will be seen looking for the opposite sex to make their lives fulfilling. They go and stop, laugh and cry learning what they have missed and what they need.

N.B. Not a new story! Javed Akhtar’s lyrics can make it taste delicious. Dia’s fans will have a good time to cheer.

Mod

Preview: Mod is an emotional love story woven around two persons with different likes and from different backgrounds. Aranya, a small town simple girl whose mother has left her and her father to pursue her dreams, keeps a watch repair shop. One day Andy, a stranger, lands up in that town and visits Aranya’s shop to have his watch repaired. He begins to visit the shop and the shopkeeper regularly. Thus, they fall in love with each other. The plot moves towards a gripping climax whn Aranya explores who Andy is and where he is from.

N.B. Only time will tell if Mod is another love story or somewhat different from other B-town love stories. Hope, the fans of Nagesh Kukunoor of Dor fame won’t be disappointed.

Saheb Biwi and Gangster

Preview: Saheb Biwi and Gangster is the story of a small town nawab and his begum, packed with such spicy ingredients as ambition, disappointment, intrigue and betrayal. The nawab, played by Jimmy Sheirgill, in his desperate attempt to keep his royal status and shine intact goes on from murdering whoever poses threat to him. He keeps a mistress as it is an age-old tradition of royalty and neglects his beautiful begum. Taking advantage of this situation, the rival group sends their informer Babloo in the guise of a driver for the nawab’s begum. The plot turns 360 degree when Babloo himself falls in love with the begum and tries his damndest to get her.

N.B. If Saheb Biwi and Gangster would be able to hit the jackpot is uncertain as majority of today’s cine goers belongs to the youth brigade who prefer metro glamour to retro glitz.

Preview: The highest budget Bollywood film till date. A super hero movie Ra. One is the story of Shekhar a software engineer based in Miami and played by Shah Rukh Khan. Shekhar creates a video-game tech-savvy monster named Ra. One who can freeze electricity surprisingly. The game kicks off when Shekhar imagines himself after the super hero he has created, in an attempt to beef up his look like that of a Gen Y father of a yo-yo son.

N.B. Ra. One is worth a watch for its high-tech cinematography. Obviously Shar Rukh the Bollywood badsah in a new avatar is a unavoidable reason.
