Dibyendu Mukherjee is Tollywood’s Imran Hashmi
Like Bollywood, Tollywood too is proud of its Imran Hashmi. Yes, there is an Imran Hashmi in Bengali entertainment industry. He is the newcomer Dibyendu Mukherjee who debuted as an actor in Charulata 2011 directed by Agnidev Chatterjee. He plays Amol against Rituparna’s character Chaiti who is the lonely wife Charulata in Agnidev’s modern take on Satyajit Ray’s classic Charulata based on Nasto Nir by Rabindranath Tagore.
The bold promos of Charulata 2011 took Bengalis aback by showing Dibyendu Mukherjee in compromising scenes with Rituparna. The movie has steamy bed and bathroom sequences which are a must in B-town movies starring Imran Hashmi in the lead. He is shown pulling Rituparna’s innerwear down in a sequence that is supposed to be the boldest in Tollywood till date. Now, he will be seen in a sizzling love-making scene with Locket Chatterjee in his second movie ‘Oh! Henry’ by Animesh Roy. Dibyendu will be tagged the serial bold love scene maker in the coming days.
