Apple Almond Rabdi is a gluten-free dessert, and the recipe is simple.
Makes: 2 ½ cups
Serving size: ½ cup
Preparation time: 5 mins
Cooking time: 25 mins
20 almonds, sliced finely
1 liter double-toned milk (1.5% fat)
½ large apple
3 tbsp sugar
½ tsp cinnamon powder
Boil milk till it reduces to half its quantity. Add sugar and boil for another 2 minutes.
Remove from flame; allow cooling.
Meanwhile, peel the apple and chop finely. Avoid chopping the apple beforehand as it tends to brown when exposed to air.
Stir chopped apple, almonds and cinnamon powder into the reduced milk.
Shelf life: Keep refrigerated and consume within 12 hours.
