Shah Rukh and Bollywood divas in fashion show on Yash Chopra’s birthday

Diva’ni Fashion Show, organized by Yash Raj Films in collaboration with Karol Bagh in honor of Yash Chopra’s birth anniversary yesterday, was an Indian ethnic fashion extravaganza with the glittering presence of Bollywood divas on the ramp. The leading heroines of Yash Chopra romantic movies from Silsila to Jab Tak Hai Jaan set the ramp on fire with their unmatched glamour.

Shah Rukh Khan with a bevy of beauties around him was the center of attraction in the fashion show. Rekha, Madhuri Dixit, Juhi Chawla, Sridevi, Katrina Kaif, Preti Zinta, Anuksha Sharma, Parineeti and Rani Mukherji were the sizzling Bollywood actresses who, clad in the ethnic ensembles of Diva’ni label, captured the imagination of fashion photographers, fashion journalists and fashionistas.

Madhuri Dixit, the dhak dhak belle of B-town, and Anuksha Sharma oozed the seductive oomph of their beauty in black designer sarees. Madhuri wore a metro look, while Anuksha’s style was a bit retro. Parineeti’s bridal look in a heavily embellished lehenga and choli stole the show. Sridevi was styled in a creamy lehenga with silver zardousi work. Her appearance was reminiscent of her enchanting beauty in Nagin movie.

In a pink lehenga with golden work, Rani Mukherji was the pink of perfection. She wearing a nose ring flaunted an exception look, in unkempt hair. Katrina’s biscuit color lehenga paired with a coffee brown blouse was ideal for the coming season of festival fashion. The heavy Gujarati embroidery work made the ensemble carry off the bell.

Juhi Chawla, in an ankle-length flared skirt of rainbow colors and an embroidered top, looked the chulbuli Juhi of her heady days. The lacha fashion of the Sultani era rhymed suitably with the prettiness of Preity Zinta. Rekha embodied the true ethnic fashion of India in a golden Kanjeevaram silk saree and amprapali jewellery. The era of her Umrao Jaan fashion came alive on the ramp.

The showstopper of the Yash Chopra fashion show was Bollywood badshah Shah Rukh Khan in a black suit with Jodhpuri style. The actor and the actresses who earned name and fame by working in Yash Chopra movies paid tribute to the King of Romance on his 82nd birthday anniversary, in the fashion show organized by Pamela Chopra.
