The Street is a Newbie but Promising Hub for Foodtainment in Hyderabad
Discussions on Hyderabad vs Bangalore do often take place among my friends and acquaintances at events I attend in Hyderabad. Most of them say that Bangalore is livelier than Hyderabad and life on weekends is more exciting in Bangalore than that in Hyderabad. Since I have not been to Bangalore yet, I don’t run into arguments on this topic with them. However, I have been witnessing the consistent evolution of Hyderabad in food, entertainment and nightlife since my relocation to the city in 2013.
I have grown so fond of Hyderabad that I call it my second home. It is a happening place for foodies, art lovers, nightlife buffs and party animals. The cityscape has turned over a new leaf with several new eating joints and partying points. The Street is the latest feather in the cap of Hyderabad for entertainment-seeking foodies. The Street is a food court with space for live performance, football, cricket, and beach volleyball.
The Street is a place where there is constant action. A place where one can just walk in and be surprised with everything that seems to be happening here. At the Street, there is no old or young. Everyone becomes a part of the fun over food, stage performance and sports. It is a vibrant place to chill out beyond limits. (from www.thestreethyd.com)
Located between Madhapur and Hitech City, The Street is a complete hub for foodies. Some of the well-known food brands, including House of Indian Breads, Makers of Milkshakes, Frosticks, Mama Mia Italia, The Wingster, The Orange Bicycle, Godavari Ruchulu, Dosa Place, Shahi Biryani, Dilli Chaat, Bade Miyan Kebab, Eat Burp Repeat, WOFFL and Wich Please cater to different palates at a place.
The Street has got South Indian Fastfood, North Indian fastfood, Continental desserts, Hyderabadi Biryani, and Italian food to serve. If you are fond of desserts, stop by The Street for a visit to Frosticks, WOFL and Makers of Milkshakes on summer evenings. You can take your friends to The Street and introduce them to different types of Dosa at Dosa Place as well as Hyderabadi Biryani at Shahi Biryani. The Street is a must visit for continental food as well.
The Street has spacious sitting areas: one on ground and the other on the first floor with a glass wall on the front. You can choose to dine on the ground on breezy evenings and refresh yourself over food on the air conditioned first floor on sultry days. You don’t need to leave your table or come down from the AC corridor to order food. There are service boys at your call.
The Street Hyderabad was ceremoniously launched on 21st February (last Sunday). The launch was graced by the presence of actor Balakrishna, actor Sai Dharam Tej and actress Regina Cassandra from the Telugu film industry. There was a live band performance to rock the venue with high beats of music. What more? Two stand-up comedians tickled the ribs of visitors with their jokes and satires.
The foodie in me did not leave any food outlet at The Street without giving a try to some of the dishes on their menus. I had cocktail dosa, choco & creamie, mutton pizza, chocolate waffle, and a few other delights from the food outlets at The Street Hyderabad. The food was served with great care. The service boys were prompt to take orders.
The Street is one of the few places where a lot can happen over food and drinks. You can visit The Street with family and friends. Though it is a newbie on the cityscape, it has lots of potential to endear itself to those foodies who also like open-air entertainment.
